Belinda's Dream and Royal Wedding Blooming

Belinda's Dream from Chamblee's Rose Nursery arrived this spring.

Now in the full summer season, I am THRILLED with this rose!

It is fulfilling my expectations in a grand way.

A little cutting from Royal Wedding.
I wonder if the root system will be able to cope with our serious winter season?

The original grafted plant thrives here.

My decade-old bush is a favorite.
The summer monsoons have given us some lovely moments

Delightful hikes in Canyon de Chelly have supplemented our summer workouts.

  1. I love your roses, and the rainbowed evening sky, and what a neat hike that canyon would be.

  3. Sandra, your 'Belinda's Dream' looks awesome! I have this rose, too, but it is still growing in a 2 gallon pot and does not look as nice as yours. Congratulations to your rooted cutting of 'Royal Wedding', wishing you that you get it through the winter, but roses are usually tough cookies, especially the own root ones. Canyon de Chelly is breathtaking. I would love to hike there, too! Have a nice rest of the Sunday!

  4. Thank you, Christina.
I am anxious to see how everything new gets through the winter here. but I am NOT anxious for winter!
Canyon de Chelly is lovely. The trail head is 8 miles from our home. We hike the 3-mile-round-trip trail year round. Its a refreshing break from the gym!

  7. Wow, Sandra, gorgeous roses and gorgeous scenery. I hope that little baby Royal Wedding handles winter OK. Bundle her up! I'm not looking for winter either. Winter should be banned.

  12. Thank you, Chris. I think in our dry summer climate Belinda will really thrive. I hope our cold, dehydrating winters will be tolerable to all our new roses.
